Wayne Broberg | Broberg Physical Therapy

Wayne Broberg, MPT

Wayne was born and raised right here in San Jose graduating from Piedmont Hills High School in 1994. There he began to prepare his love for sports and fitness. Taking physiology his senior year and playing football and baseball Wayne knew sports medicine was his track.

Wayne was MVP of his baseball team and voted best defensive player for football. He was voted first team all-league for both sports and continued his love for sports playing Division I intercollegiate football for the University of the Pacific while obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine. Wayne also received MVP honors for his play with the UOP Lacrosse team.

It was during his rehabilitation for multiple sports injuries in college that Wayne decided to continue his education in the field of Physical Therapy. Wayne pursued his goal receiving his Masters of Physical Therapy degree at Chapman University. There he majored in Orthopedics and minored in gait analysis.

Jennifer Hart | Broberg Physical Therapy

Jennifer Hart, DPT
Senior Physical Therapist

Jennifer received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Chapman University and her B.S. at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She was a 4-Year Division I NCAA scholar athlete at Cal Poly as a swimmer.

Jennifer’s clinical interests include shoulder and scapulothoracic mechanics, repetitive/overuse shoulder injuries in the overhead athlete/worker, manual therapy, and postural training.

Jennifer’s personal interests include swimming (12-year competitive swimming career), running (5k-marathons), all sports from water polo to cross country, hiking, skiing, horseback riding, and learning Spanish. Jennifer and her husband have two boys.

Ayub Khan | Broberg Physical Therapy

AJ has been a practicing orthopedics and sports physical therapist for over 15 years. He received his Bachelors in Physical Therapy from Manipal University, a Deemed Institution, in India. He moved to the United States in 2003.

AJ has attended various courses over the years. He holds a certification in Manipulative Therapy from the University of Michigan, in Flint, Michigan. He is also certified in Graston Technique, Level 1 Australian Mat Pilates and Functional Taping Techniques.

AJ joined Broberg Physical Therapy in 2017. Previously, he worked in a variety of settings – ranging from out-patient orthopedics at Kaiser Permanente to, most recently, PAMF in Santa Cruz. He specializes in orthopedics, sports injuries, spinal issues and manual therapy.

While away from Broberg PT, AJ enjoys spending time with family, running, swimming and weight lifting.

Ruchita Shukla | Broberg Physical Therapy

Physical Therapist Assistant

Ruchita is a Physical Therapists Assistant who graduated from Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts in California. She received her bachelor degree in Biology from SUNY College of Old Westbury in NY. She has a special interest in the treatment of a wide range of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. She has a focused treatment approach that incorporates manual therapy technique exercises to achieve functional goals with everyday activities. Ruchita enjoys getting to know people from different cultures and helping them achieve their unique and individual functional goals. Ruchita also loves outdoor activities and has passion for photography, hiking and traveling.

Jessica Albert | Broberg Physical Therapy

A San Jose native, Jessica joined Broberg Physical Therapy in 2006 after graduating from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology.

Jessica played Division I softball on a scholarship at Long Island University. Her team won the conference title each year she played. She was awarded conference pitcher of the year in 2004. She also played at West Valley College prior to attending LIU. She was California JUCO pitcher of the year and first team all American at West Valley in 2003.

Jessica became interested in physical therapy after being injured and having surgery during her senior campaign at LIU. In her free time, Jessica enjoys weight lifting, hiking, and spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs.

Domenic Casil | Broberg Physical Therapy

San Jose native-born and raised. Domenic received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at San Jose State University. Domenic is an avid runner. Running track and field as a sprinter all four years in high school, Domenic obtained multiple school records at Evergreen Valley high school. Domenic’s hobbies vary throughout the seasons. During the winter Domenic loves to take trip to Lake Tahoe to snowboard. Other hobbies include backpacking/camping, lounging at beaches and eating food. Domenic’s goal is to become a physical therapist, helping the community in which he resides.

Maxwell Kam | Broberg Physical Therapy

Maxwell Kam

Max has played badminton competitively throughout middle school, high school, and college, where he was an active member of the UC Davis Badminton Team. He continues to compete regularly in tournaments throughout California. He also enjoys lifting weights and playing pool and piano.

Max first became interested in physical therapy after undergoing rehabilitation for a lumbar spine fracture in middle school. He graduated from UC Davis in 2017 with a B.S. in Exercise Biology and a minor in psychology. While attending UC Davis, he interned with the UC Davis Sports Medicine Team for two years, assisting in the care of the men’s water polo and football teams. He will attend school in the Fall of 2018 at Western University of Health Sciences in pursuit of a DPT.

Eli will receive his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at San Jose State University in the fall of 2018. He first became interested in physical therapy through his interest in how the human body functions and his desire to help people. In his free time, Eli enjoys swimming, basketball, weightlifting, and photography, although his favorite activity is eating.

Stuart is completing his studies as an undergraduate student at San Jose State University where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in rehabilitation sciences.

From a young age Stuart was involved in multiple sports such as basketball, soccer, and volleyball. However, many years of activity in different sports often comes with various injuries, and Stuart had his fair share of them. After going through physical therapy for some knee problems, he began to consider going into the field to learn more about how to care for his body. He enjoys exercising on a normal basis and still plays sports fairly often outside of his studies.

Jennifer was born and raised in San Jose. She graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology: Exercise Science from Long Beach State University in the spring of 2018. Her interest in the complexity of human movement and her desire to help others led her to pursue a career in the field of physical therapy. Jennifer played volleyball competitively throughout high school and still enjoys to play in her free time. She also loves to go to the beach, swim, snowboard, and is a dedicated fan of the Warriors and Giants.
